Being a Grandparent is something which will take you by surprise. When you get chance to ‘borrow’ the baby while mum and dad go out … you won’t want to give him back. He will make a special place in your heart, shaped exactly like him so that only he can fill it, and giving him back to his parents will become painful.

Congratulations on the upcoming grandson. You must be so excited. I can’t wait for my day, but my niece had her first baby last month and she is gorgeous, so I’ll take being a great aunt.
